Prunus incisa ‘ kojo-no-mai’ or Fuji Cherry is an outdoor deciduous tree which is spring flowering and makes an excellent bonsai.

The Cherry is a pretty tree with wiry twigs, young leaves are long and pale green, growing darker as they age.

Location

Keep outside all year. Likes full sun but providing some shade during summer will prevent sun scorched leaves.

Temperature

Though hardy they may need protection during prolonged periods of cold weather. Bringing them into an unheated greenhouse is enough protection.

Watering

Keep watered during the growing season but allow to dry between watering.

Pruning

Prune in late spring after flowering.

Repotting

Check if your tree needs repotting every couple of years.

Feeding

Feed with high nitrogen feed after flowering and a low nitrogen feed in mid and late summer.

Please Note: The picture is for guidance only. It is not generally possible to send the tree in the picture. Please note that measurements given are approximate not exact. Measurements given are from the bottom of the pot to the top of the tree, the pot colour may also vary from the picture. Due to their nature trees grow and whilst in our care may need pruning, this means the tree that you receive may differ in size to that given in the description. The appearance of the tree may vary depending on the season.
