Pseudolarix amabilis, Chinese larch or Golden larch is an outdoor, deciduous, easy to grow conifer. It has beautiful, lime-green foliage during spring, which turns golden yellow in summer and may even show a hint of orange in autumn.

Location

Outside in full sun / semi shade during the growing season.

Temperature

Although it originates from southern China it is quite hardy in mild temperature climates. It may need protection from hard frosts in cool temperate regions.

Watering

Needs regular watering throughout the summer or the foliage will shrivel.

Pruning

Prune during the growing season to keep tidy.

Repotting

Check to see if the tree needs repotting every two or three years.

Feeding

You can see after the buds have opened in spring. Always read the instructions.

Please Note: The picture is for guidance only. It is not generally possible to send the tree in the picture. Please note that measurements given are approximate not exact. Measurements given are from the bottom of the pot to the top of the tree, the pot colour may also vary from the picture. Due to their nature trees grow and whilst in our care may need pruning, this means the tree that you receive may differ in size to that given in the description. The appearance of the tree may vary depending on the season.
