1-2-1 Workshop with a Herons Team Member

It is also possible to do a 1-2-1 class with one of the team at Herons.

These sessions can be tailored to your individual needs depending on what you would like to learn. You are welcome to bring your own tree to work on or you can select material from the nursery (material will be charged separately and is outdoor species, it is unlikely that there will be indoor material to work on unless you bring it with you)

The workshop usually commences at 10am and run for around 2 hours.

Cancellation policy

If you are unable to attend a workshop we are happy for you to reschedule once without charge, but we need at least 2 weeks notice. These workshops are incredibly popular so please note that if you are unable to attend after that we can’t offer a refund or reschedule. 

Feel free to arrive earlier if you wish (and we are open) to have a look round our 7 Acre Nursery and Japanese garden. Alternatively you can stay on afterwards to have a look around (gates close at 4pm daily)

We have ample on-site parking and washroom facilities. We also have good disabled access.

Bonsai Workshops and Classes run by Herons Bonsai
We have been running our bonsai classes and workshops at Herons for over thirty years where they have been the source of inspiration for many bonsai enthusiasts. Currently we run a number of different workshops by Peter Chan or a Herons Team Member. 
 
What is a Workshop?
All our workshops are hands on sessions for all abilities, ranging from beginner to advanced levels. You can learn many aspects of bonsai in this class. 

These workshops book up fast so please do book if you would like to attend.

We do have a waiting list that you are welcome to join by emailing [email protected] letting us know how many places you are looking to book, please accompany this with your contact number, this means we can call if we get a late cancellation.

If you are looking for a 1-2-1 class with Peter Chan he can normally offer a 2 hour time slot on a Monday or Tuesday morning starting at 11am finishing at 1pm. 

You can also book a 1-2-1 with one of our experienced Herons Team Member should you wish.
