Herons Bonsai General Purpose Bonsai Soil Mix. This compost can also be used for indoor bonsai. Approximately 20L at time of bagging, may settle when stored/ shipped.

For those who want to repot any of their bonsai this is a good all round compost mix.

This is the bonsai compost which we use for our conifer/evergreen bonsai such as Pines, Junipers, Yews. Can also be used for potting Chinese Elm and other indoor bonsai trees.
Approx 20L at time of bagging but please be aware that it may settle when stored / shipped.

Peter and the team at Herons have spent, and continue to spend a lot of time developing this bonsai compost. It is a tried and tested recipe and well suited to our British growing conditions, it drains well but retains moisture.
Bonsai Workshops and Classes run by Herons Bonsai
We have been running our bonsai classes and workshops at Herons for over thirty years where they have been the source of inspiration for many bonsai enthusiasts. Currently we run a number of different workshops by Peter Chan or a Herons Team Member. 
 
What is a Workshop?
All our workshops are hands on sessions for all abilities, ranging from beginner to advanced levels. You can learn many aspects of bonsai in this class. 

These workshops book up fast so please do book if you would like to attend.

We do have a waiting list that you are welcome to join by emailing [email protected] letting us know how many places you are looking to book, please accompany this with your contact number, this means we can call if we get a late cancellation.

If you are looking for a 1-2-1 class with Peter Chan he can normally offer a 2 hour time slot on a Monday or Tuesday morning starting at 11am finishing at 1pm. 

You can also book a 1-2-1 with one of our experienced Herons Team Member should you wish.
