This is the standard bonsai compost which we use for many of our bonsai on the nursery. Approx 20L at time of bagging but please be aware that it may settle when stored / shipped.

This mix is very useful in the UK climate, drains well but also retains moisture.

Our bonsai compost contains Akadama, lightweight grit, bark and a quality compost mix.

Peter and the team at Herons have spent, and continue to spend time developing and adjusting the components used in the bonsai compost and as such, we aren’t able to share the recipe.
