The Podocarpus is a native to China and Japan. Also know as the Chinese Yew or the Buddhist Pine. It is a slow growing
evergreen conifer that is easy to care for and prefers to be kept
indoors (though they do benefit from being put outdoors in the summer). It won’t loose its leaves in winter making it an interesting bonsai all year round.
These trees do best if kept outside and protected from any frosts. If kept inside it prefers a relatively cool room and good light. Hot dry rooms will dehydrate them.
Keep the soil moist but do not overwater as this will cause the leaves to turn grey.
Please Note: The picture is for guidance only. It is not generally possible to send the tree in the picture. We may need to send you one that's similar in terms of size, shape, pot and age. The appearance of the tree may vary depending on the season.
