Chamaecyparis obtusa. This is a grafted Hinoki Cypress that comes in a terracotta Japanese training pot, approximately 34cm but sizes will vary.

This is an outdoor, evergreen. Hinoki cypress has bright green foliage, arranged in whorls along the branches, and attractive, reddish -brown bark.

It’s native to southern Japan and is normally hardy in temperate areas, although plants may need some protection in a frost-free shed or greenhouse if winter temperatures fall below -5°C. Hinoki Cypress will happily survive in full sun throughout the growing season.

Water regularly from spring to early autumn and occasionally during dry spells in the winter so that the soil remains moist.

Please Note: Measurements given are from the bottom of the pot to the top of the tree, the pot colour may also vary from the picture. Due to their nature trees grow and whilst in our care may need pruning, this means the tree that you receive may differ in size to that given in the description. The appearance of the tree may vary depending on the season.
