Abies cephalonica 'Meyer's Dwarf’ commonly know as Greek Fir often grow very tall with whorled branches bearing flattened linear leaves. 

Location

This outdoor evergreen conifer should be placed in full sun or partial shade. 

Temperature

Would need protecting from intense heat and strong frosts. 

Watering

Water thoroughly as soon as the soil gets dry. Doesn’t like constant wetness or being left to dry out.

Pruning

New shoots can be pinched out when they are still soft to create good ramification. 

Repotting

Check if your tree needs repotting every few years. 

Feeding

Always read the label and feed accordingly.

What is a Workshop?
All our workshops are hands on sessions for all abilities, ranging from beginner to advanced levels. You can learn many aspects of bonsai in this class. 

These workshops book up fast so please do book if you would like to attend.

We do have a waiting list that you are welcome to join by emailing [email protected] letting us know how many places you are looking to book, please accompany this with your contact number, this means we can call if we get a late cancellation.

If you are looking for a 1-2-1 class with Peter Chan he can normally offer a 2 hour time slot on a Monday or Tuesday morning starting at 11am finishing at 1pm. 

You can also book a 1-2-1 with one of our experienced Herons Team Member should you wish.
