Satsuki Azaleas

The Satsuki Azalea is one of the most popular flowering bonsai grown today. So popular is this species that there are specialist clubs and societies which are dedicated to just this type of bonsai.

The Satsuki flowers from the end of May to early July and when not in bloom, it makes a lovely evergreen tree. The above picture taken at our nursery in May/June, shows how stunning Satsukis are as a flowering bonsai.

There are well over a thousand varieties of this lovely plant - each with a different leaf shape and flower shape and of course different coloured flower. Many of them have multi-cloured flowers on the same plant.

We always have hundreds of young plants and large specimens in stock.
The ones show here are just some of our cheaper and popular ones. We have dozens of others which are exhibition quality trees. If you are seriously interested just give us a ring or better still - visit the nursery.

Please note that although some of the Satsukis on our internet shop have been sold, we have left them on the site as many people enjoy looking at the pictures - this is what they tell us!
