Pool Rock B
Ibigawa rocks are the favorite rocks for making Root over Rock bonsai. The tree species used is normally the Trident Maple as they are fast growers and their roots can cover the rocks very quickly. Other species such as Mountain Maple, Hinoki Cypress, Chinese Juniper, Satsuki Azalea and Pine are also sometimes used.
This piece of Ibigawa is in the form of a pool which will hold water. Maples grown over 'Pool rocks' are highly prized.
Dimensions are 33cm long x 27cm wide weighs 11Kg - a massive rock.
If you do not wish to use this for root over rock bonsai, it is lovely just as it is.
