Crab Apple
These are large semi trained crab apples that we have been growing in our fields for the past thirteen years and are now in large black plastic pots.
They are two to three feet high (70-100cm) and very well branched.
They are not quite bonsai yet but with constant pruning and shaping they will make nice specimen trees soon.
Beautiful blossom as can be seen in these pictures, followed by spectacular fruit in the summer and autumn.
Crabs cannot be imported from Japan, so we have to grow these ourselves.
Crabs also air-layer easily, so if you want to propagate more plants, you can buy one of these semi-trained trees and make more trees from them.
If you dont wish to bonsai them, they make stunning semi-standard trees anyway! Just look at the blossom.
At £145 -they are a real bargain for such lovely old trees!
The ones we have left are virtually bonsai now - very well branched and full of flowers
The one in the picture is still available (11 April)
