The Arakawa or Rough-bark Japanese maple is probably the best maple for autumn colour. It has clear cerise red leaves in the autumn which last for nearly four weeks. The bark is of course its distinctive feature. It is also sometimes called the 'pine-bark' or 'snake-bark' maple. These trees are semi- specimen trees - 58cm high x 8-9cm dia trunks and come in glazed ceramic pots. This size temporarily out of stock. |
