This is our own standard bonsai compost which we use for most varieties of bonsai. It is made up of fine orchid bark, Levington, Chichester grit, a little quantity of sterilised loam and Akadama. For pines and junipers you can improve it further by adding more Hyuga or Kiryu. After holding our price for the past four years, we have to increase it to £10 as the cost of Akadama has risen enormously and it is not being imported anymore. Our soil mix has some Akadama mixed in it. |
