The Sageretia is called the Bird Plum Cherry in China, where it is an extremely popular species for bonsai. It has bright glossy green leaves and on older specimens, the bark flakes like the London Plane tree. If kept in cool conditions, it tends to shed its leaves in winter. Easy to keep so long as they are watered regularly, which applies to all bonsai anyway. Nice large plant for just £29 |
