This is Peter's definitive book on bonsai specially commissioned by the Readers Digest Association.
Published in May 2006, it was immediately a best seller all over the world.
The Japanese American bonsai and landscape master Hiroshi Matsuda was asked by independent book researchers to review three recently published bonsai books. He was not very complimentary about the other two books (names shall not be mentioned), but here is what he said about Peter's book ........

It is apparent that the author knows his subject and has practised bonsai for a very long time. The clarity with which he explains concepts makes me feel he has much experience in teaching bonsai. This is the best bonsai book published in a long time. I will use this as the recommended textbook for all my bonsai students.'
