The forests or Group plantings are some of the most appealing subjects for bonsai. They look realistic and people can relate to them easily. It is said that when you look at a well made bonsai forest, you could almost imagine tiny birds flying through the branches. Almost any species can be used for bonsai forests - larches, maples, hornbeams, beech, pines, junipers - the list is endless. The picture below is a larch forest that we produce on the nursery.
