The European Olive is an Evergreen tree and can be grown as an Outdoor Bonsai in Northern Europe provided it is given some winter protection. It is therefore quite similar to the Trident Maple. It can also be grown as an Indoor Bonsai but it should be treated as an Outdoor bonsai in the Summer i.e. taken outdoors from May to September.
It is a hardy subject and very easy to keep.
The grafted varieties, which all of ours are - flower and fruit profusely. The cream coloured flowers are fragrant and will bear black olives in late summer.
A carefree species and very easy to keep.
